1. General Membership Conditions
All members must agree to uphold the integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards of the business brokerage industry. Membership is contingent upon adherence to these standards, as well as all applicable laws and regulations governing business transactions.
2. Membership Categories and Fees:
Membership is available in various categories including Individual, Company Owner, and Enterprise Package. Each category has specific eligibility requirements and associated fees, which are subject to annual review and adjustment.
3. Payment Terms
Membership fees are due in full at the time of application or renewal. Payment must be made in the approved manner as specified by the Association. Failure to pay fees by the due date may result in suspension or termination of membership.
4. Use of Association Resources
Members are granted access to a range of resources including market data, legal documents, and professional development tools. These resources are for professional use only and must not be reproduced, distributed, or used for unauthorized purposes.
5. Privacy and Confidentiality
The Association is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of its members. Personal and business information provided to the Association will be stored securely and will not be disclosed to third parties without consent, except as required by law.
6. Code of Conduct
Members must adhere to the Association’s Code of Conduct, which promotes fairness, honesty, and integrity in all business dealings. Breaches of the Code may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or expulsion from the Association.
7. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute between members, or between a member and the Association, parties are encouraged to resolve the issue amicably. Should this fail, the Association offers a dispute resolution service, which may include mediation or arbitration.
8. Changes to Terms and Conditions
The Association reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Members will be notified of any significant changes and continued membership will constitute acceptance of these changes.
9. Termination of Membership
Members may terminate their membership at any time by providing written notice to the Association. Refunds of membership fees are not provided. The Association also reserves the right to terminate a membership if a member fails to comply with these terms and conditions, subject to a review process.
By applying for membership or renewing their membership, individuals and entities acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to abide by these Terms and Conditions.
